Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

LittleQuest is a children's real-world-adventure app operated by Venturoo LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built LittleQuest to be privacy-first, and this policy is written to be read — not to bury what matters.

The short version
  • An account is created and controlled by a parent or guardian, not by a child.
  • Photos and videos in the Memory Book stay on your device — they are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
  • We show no ads, use no third-party advertising, and never sell your data.
  • There is no chat, no messaging, no social feed, and no location tracking.
  • We collect the minimum needed to run the app, and you can delete your account and data at any time.

1. Who this policy is for

LittleQuest is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian. The parent creates the account and adds a child profile. Children do not create accounts, enter payment information, or provide personal information directly to us. By creating an account and adding a child profile, the parent or guardian consents to the practices described here on their child's behalf.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When a parent creates an account, we collect an email address and a password (the password is handled and stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, Google Firebase — we never see it in plain text). This is used to sign in, secure the account, and contact you about your account if needed.

Child profile information

To tailor age-appropriate activities, a parent provides a child's first name (or nickname) and date of birth. The date of birth is used only to select the right age range of content. You may use a nickname instead of a real name.

Activity and progress data

We store which adventures and quiz questions were completed, along with progress such as points, levels, streaks, and badges, so the app can show progress over time. Parents may also create their own custom challenges, which are private to your family.

Memory Book photos and videos — stored only on your device

Photos and videos you or your child add to the Memory Book are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, to Firebase, or to any cloud service, and we do not have the technical ability to access them. If you export a backup, that file is created locally and only leaves your device if you choose to share or save it. We never do that automatically.

Optional leaderboard nickname

The leaderboard is off by default and only appears if a parent chooses to set a public nickname for a child. If enabled, the nickname, an emoji avatar, and a point total are visible to other families. A child's real name is never shown or stored on the leaderboard, and no photos are ever shared there. You can remove a child from the leaderboard at any time by clearing the nickname.

Analytics and diagnostics

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand general, aggregated usage (for example, that an adventure was completed) and to detect crashes so we can fix them. These are anonymous, app-level events — not tied to your name, your child's name, or a personal profile, and we have disabled advertising-identifier collection. We do not use this data for advertising.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. We receive a confirmation that a valid purchase exists so we can unlock the paid features on your account.

3. What we do not collect or do

4. How we use information

5. Children's privacy (COPPA and similar laws)

LittleQuest is designed for family use with a parent or guardian in control. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children beyond the limited profile information a parent chooses to provide (first name or nickname and date of birth) to run the app. We do not condition a child's participation on providing more information than is reasonably necessary.

As a parent or guardian you may, at any time, review the information associated with your account, ask us to correct or delete it, and refuse further collection by deleting the account.

6. How information is shared

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the app:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). Contact us and we will honor applicable requests.

8. Data retention

We keep account and activity data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove the associated data from our servers. On-device Memory Book data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

9. Security

Data stored on our backend is protected by Google Firebase's security infrastructure and by access rules that restrict each family's data to that family. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we design the app to collect as little as possible and to keep the most sensitive content (your Memory Book photos) off our servers entirely.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
